A well-known alpine pass at 2,000 m in the centre of the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Nature Park, dominated by Cimon della Pala (3,186 m), known as the "Matterhorn of the Dolomites", and by Cima Vezzena (3192 m), set in scenery of incomparable and rare beauty.

It is a much appreciated ski destination and, for the international mountaineering world, it is the base point for some of the most beautiful and important climbs. It is 9 km from San Martino with which it is perfectly integrated from a tourist point of view and it has quite good hotel accommodation.
Particular attractions in the area are the little Colbricon lakes, around which signs of prehistoric settlements have been found, and the Baita Segantini with Capanna Cervino, immersed in a fairy-tale atmosphere.

From Rolle Pass it is easy to reach Val Venegia, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt nature areas in the whole of Trentino, furrowed by the clear dancing waters of Rio Travignolo and known for some rare floral species. Magnificent views of the north part of the Pale di San Martino and occasions for enjoying the local food in the Venegia and Venegiota Malghe.

The mountains around Rolle Pass were the scene of the First World War and the trenches can still be seen along many paths (among which the most famous is the Path of Peace).
